This is an order for a custom made board. It will take 2-3 weeks to finish, and will be made just for you. Total price for the board is $380. This down payment starts your custom order.

Hi my name is Elijah and I live in Ormond Beach, Florida. I grew up surfing in every form from bodysurfing to longboards. This board is made for people who want a different, versatile surf craft to have fun in many conditions.  These can be surfed, bodyboarded or drop knee surfed. They can be used with or without fins in the boxes for people who want no traction. They can be ridden wearing flippers or barefoot.

I built this for myself first for these small, scrappy Florida waves. Sometimes I felt it was barely worth taking a larger board out bc the rides were so short. I bodysurf a lot. This is what came out.

I make these boards between 4'8" and 4'10". I like them to be between 19.5 and 20.5" wide and they are 2.5 inches thick. I keep the thickness throughout so they are surprisingly floaty.

I give them a fair amount of rocker both in the nose and the tail to accommodate for the lack of flex found in a typical spongey soft body board. The nose has no real concave and acts as a big planing surface while the tail has a not so subtle single concave splitting the rails and creating lift.

The tail is a weird shape i made by tracing my microwave tray. I call it a manta tail...maybe it has another name, I dunno! But the rail extends back behind the riders foot and then a semi-circle is cut out between them.  This is a relief point for the water shooting out that back concave, much like a fish shape has.

These come as twin fins with Futures boxes. For those who stand up, I set the fins farther back. For drop knee or bodyboarding they are set farther forward.

HOW DOES IT RIDE?

I think it's a riot. While I'm not positive on the liters bc they are handmade by me in a garage from raw foam, my 4'8" feels like 27-29, which is wild for such a small board. The swing weight while stand up surfing is almost nothing. For folks who like to stand up boogie, it will be really fun.

I prefer to ride it without flippers, however I do sometimes put on a set of yuccas and fin around with it. I find it more versatile to paddle in with my arms and I can choose to popup or shoot for a section prone.

It's fast. Very fast compared to my foam boogies. Without fins, expect to set a rail and hold on.

HOW DOES PRE ORDER WORK?

You pay a small amount and it sets a board from the upcoming batch aside for you. I will email you and we will chat about your preferences. I will incorporate that into the board. Your board will be finished between 2-3 weeks, sometimes sooner if I'm in mid batch. The rest of the money is due at pickup.
